For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10
In the book of James Chapter 1:22-23, we are reminded that it is not enough to simply hear the Word, but we must also be doers of the Word. As such God calls us all into service. Everyone is equipped by the Holy Spirit with spiritual gifts to be a blessing in the Kingdom of God. We the officers, members, and embassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ believe that the Lord has given each believer spiritual gifts or talents. The believer has the responsibility to use these gifts to serve the Lord with “good works”. These “good works” are a response to the blessing of salvation, as well as, to the daily blessings we receive from the Lord. Mt. Calvary’s ministries represent our collective efforts to respond to God’s blessings by doing Christ’s work.

If you are not sure of your spiritual gifts, we invite you to take this on-line spiritual gifts test for free and find out where God would have you utilize your gifts at Enon. Click here to take the (Spiritual Gifts test) and a list of our ministry opportunities below.

MIME MINISTRY

Friday 5 – 6 PM

Leader(s): Sister Liza Thornton & Sister Cammie Jones

Email: ministries@mtcalvaryrome.org

Telephone: (315) 337-0674

Ministry of the Mime is to share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ in a unique and powerful way. Mime ministry involves drastic movements, facial expressions, and hand signs to depict God’s Word, God’s will, life’s struggles and accomplishments. The responsibility of every mime is to bring the word of God to life with great intensity and divine excellence!

The Word and Mime In the Old Testament, Ezekiel was a prophet that was called to announce God’s judgment on Israel, and other nations, and to proclaim restoration for God’s people. His preaching was not well received by the Jews who were with him in captivity, Chapter 3, so God gave Ezekiel many methods, illustrations and demonstrations to help get the message across to the Jews, Chapter 4,5. Ezekiel acted out most of the methods, and did illustrations for Israel. Israel later became restored again and God renewed the Temple and a New Jerusalem, Chapter 40. Ministering Mime is interpreting gospel music, using illustrations and non-verbal methods to allow the congregation to understand what you are doing, just like Ezekiel demonstrated in the Old Testament.
